Welcome!!

I want to start off by saying THANK YOU for coming here and reading my posts! I’m so excited to start this blogging journey, and I truly hope that as you read this you’re blessed by it! I am in NO WAY an author of any sorts, but sometimes I find myself wanting to share things that the Lord has laid on my heart, and this seems like the best way!

So let’s start with an introduction post, so you can have an understanding of who I am. My name is Carissa Din, and I’m 31. I was born and raised in Fort Wayne, Indiana. I have an amazing dad and mom, and 3 sisters! Fun fact: We go ABCD! I was raised in a Christian family, and my dad was a Pastor, still is one! I had an amazing childhood, honestly it was an amazing childhood! It was filled with family vacations, hours of playing outside with my sisters, family dinners that lasted hours because we just kept talking, an amazing church family, the closest youth group, and parents that truly loved us unconditionally. I was beyond blessed to be raised in a home that loved the Lord! Were we perfect? Oh golly, no. Were there trials and tribulations? You bet. But did we hold onto each other, and the Lord? You betcha! Did we overcome, and grow stronger as a family? Yes yes yes!

Now I’m married to an amazing, godly, loving, supportive husband (6 years of marriage!)! We have 3 beautiful and perfect kids together! Our oldest is Sophia and she’s 9, then we have Arabella and she’s 3, and lastly we have a little boy Kundan and he is 1. We also have two fur babies, a dog named Layla, and a cat named Simba. We live in a small little town in upstate New York where my husband pastors a church! I never thought I would be a pastor’s wife, but here we are! I’m so thankful for the life that the Lord blessed me with!

What else can I tell you about myself? I have a bachelors in Christian counseling, and one day I would love to use that to help unwed moms. Whether they are teen moms or not, I just want to be able to help others. I want to show them the love of the Lord, and that people do care about them and their success! I want to teach them that the Lord has a plan for their lives.

Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future”

That is what I long to show other ladies. I want them to understand, and fully know, that the Lord has a plan for their lives, and if we surrender to Him, then it’ll be amazing!

So there it is. That’s all a little about me, and why I felt compelled to start this blog, even though this is something I don’t usually do! But I believe the Lord has been laying it on my heart for a reason, and I can’t wait to see what He has planned for this! Until next time, my friends!
